Ayrshire & Arran - VisitScotland Social Media Take Over

VisitScotland Focus on Ayrshire & Arran

Tourism has been one of the greatest economic casualties of the COVID-19 pandemic and at VisitScotland we’re focused on the recovery of the industry as we continue to work with, and support, businesses to ensure we rebuild this vital part of our economy.

Throughout the summer and into autumn our Corporate Communications team is taking over our corporate social media channels to focus on each of Scotland’s regions, helping to shine the spotlight on individual areas across Scotland, and all the fantastic things to see and do.

Engaging the domestic market and promoting Scotland as a staycation destination remains a priority. The tourism industry needs the support of the people in Scotland as it starts to recover.

This week, the focus will be on Ayrshire & Arran – and we’d love for local businesses to get involved. On Thursday 23 September our corporate Twitter channel @VisitScotNews will dedicate the day to raising awareness of our tourism offering across Ayrshire & Arran to consumers and industry. To engage with this activity, tag @VisitScotNews in your tweets and use #VisitScotland.

Our takeover will include updates from our Regional Director Gordon Smith, campaign updates, news from our partners, and lots more!

Keep up-to-date with our activity throughout the week by following us on LinkedIn and Twitter and by joining our Ayrshire & Arran closed Facebook group for local tourism businesses.
